a while ago i posted a similar thread but i have some new ideas on stuff. Newegg.com has combo deals with both of these motherboards and the CPU that i am going to get (AMD fx-8350). Both deals save $25 or so, so go based on the normal pay of 100 and 140

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Productcompare.aspx?Submit=ENE&N=-1&IsNodeId=1&Description=GIGABYTE%20GA-990FXA-UD3&bop=And&CompareItemList=-1%7C13-157-262%5E13-157-262-TS%2C13-128-514%5E13-128-514-TS&percm=13-128-514%3A%24%24%24%24%24%24%24

I understand there is a 40 dollar difference but if it is really worth it i will get it. Give your opinions and why you feel one is better. I will be using them for gaming if that matters at all. The first one has 5 sata's and the second one has 6 sata's both running at 6 gb/s which i have no idea what these are but im assuming these are deciding factors when it comes to that 40 extra dollars

my overall rig will be:
- whichever motherboard you guys pick
- fx-8350 cpu
- Asus R9 280x DirectCU II edition GPU
- One monitor (don't know if this is needed or not but just for you guys to know it will not be a deciding factor that i have 3 monitors cuz i dont)

Solution
I would DEFINETLY go the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 ATX AMD Motherboard. Gigabyte is an allover better quality board. It also has more expansion for the future! Trust me, it's worth spending the extra $40!

i just read some reviews about this board, i mean literally like 30 seconds ago, and 4 of the last 5 posts that only gave it one star were saying that they also have the fx-8350 and it locks up and freezes due to overheating of the north bridge. Any thoughts on that?

really? what could be better at that 200 dollar price? I will not go higher than 200, might stretch to 220 but absolutely not higher than that, im on a tight budget.
plus getting this would help with the motherboard bundle deal im looking for
