I'm trying to permanently remove an old Windows directory from my desktop to get the disk space. I give it administration privileges and everything goes well until it gets to a file called bootmgr. At that time it says it needs permission from Trustedinstaller. What is that and how do I get rid of this directory? Administrator is the owner of the directory.

On a more serious note if you're after more disk space, use a tool like WinDirStat to figure out what's eating up a lot of space. You can then figure out if you need to delete something or uninstall an app.

Ignore everything in C:\Windows.

If you want to boot into Windows, then I suggest you leave this alone.
