Can't Detect My Other PC through network!

I can't detect my other pc through network.I made sure to put them in to workgroups connections still wont show in the network place. Im using win 7 32 bit home basic. The other pc is Win 7 32 bit starter. I need to transfer some of the files into my other pc but my Thumb drive is gone and I cant use homegroup with my windows ver.

Both in the same workgroup name? Do you have file sharing enabled? Do don't even know if starter can access or create network shares, I know that it's very limited with what it can do.

You can always get another drive, they are like $10 for a few gig size or less.

I have file sharing enabled and its in the same workrgroup name.The files that Im trying to transfer are big.Oops my bad its actually one is Homebasic and another one is Starter.

Hmmm i got windows 7 ultimate now guess i will try the homegroup
