So recently I bought an Alienware 15r3 (Laptop) with windows 10 (64x), an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060(6GVM,GDDR5) graphics card, Intel CORE i7-7700HQ ((2.80-3.80GHz)(Intel HD 630) processor, 16gb RAM
but no matter what I do, I've gone into BIOS there's no option under ANY tab to control what graphics the PC is using but under the basic/info tab it says and is registering both the integrated Intel HD graphics as integrated and the NVIDIA GTX1060 as Discrete graphics #1 I've tried disabling it in the display drivers options, which disables it and I still have monitor visuals but it still uses the Intel HD graphics somehow, I went into the Nvidia control panel and I have no drop down to set the prefered graphics card/adapter, There is definitely no activity from it when I'm gaming ,I've updated the bios/drivers/any and everything else that was posted anywhere to absolutely no avail. So I've tried literally everything I've googled and googled and I cannot find a solution. anyone have any ideas? I'm just trying to play games with a real fps over an avg. of 22fps. Thanks In advance.
