Question Can't disable onboard graphics.

I have an old HP 6300, and i got a gt 1030 for it. I installed the card and it doesen't have an output. The machine runs in the background, it even plays the windows startup sound. I have the newest bios installed, tried the card in another system and it worked. Cable is good and drivers installed. The only thing i can't do is to disable the onboard graphics in the bios. I think that is the problem here. Can i mod the bios to unlock it or anything?

You're not inadvertantly plugging the video cable into the HP's motherboard video port, are you? Sometimes old habits die hard.
