Cant download anything

I am running windows vista home premium and when i download something and i click on it comes up with an error message saying
"This file can not be found" or
"This shortcut refers to a file deleted or moved. Would you like to delete the shorcut? "

Please help

That's odd! Try moving your download folder to a different location or even an external drive or USB stick. Do you have this problem on all browsers?

from another pc put malware bytes and a updated anti virus program on it and install them both. Sounds like a virus.

i have norton and it is updated.
