Cant download stuff

hi, I recently purchased a laptop with windows 8.
my problems are that I cant download anything. iv tried many different browsers like google search, google chrome and bing. And I want to download steam, but when I go on steam and press download nothing happens.
and I cant find internet explorer even though I always get redirected on bing

can any one help

I have no idea why you can't download anything, perhaps try restarting your PC and Modem/Router and try again.
