I'm not much use with hard drives so help if you can please.
I recently bought an abit kt7a mobo and a 40gig quantum fireball as and noticed that when I tried to enable dma, it didn't work. I was able to enable it for my ls120, cdwriter and dvd drives but when I checked the box in device manager for the hard drive I found that after restarting the box was no longer checked and dma wasn't enabled according to device manager. Retried a few times but alas to no avail. I've installed the latest ide drivers and dma busmaster drivers but have run out of ideas.
Any help appreciated
