Can't enable g-sync?

Hello all, I have a question that I can't seem to answer anywhere and I was hoping I could get a little guidance here. I'm running two GTX 970's in SLI configuration on a BenQ XL2420G monitor. The problem is I cannot find the option to turn g-sync on anywhere.

It's not in the NVIDIA control panel (where it would normally say "set up g-sync) and if I switch to my display port, I cannot get a picture. I've installed the newest NVIDIA drivers so I'm really stumped as to why I cannot access this feature. The only reason I spent so much money on this monitor was for g-sync, and not being able to use it is rather frustrating.

Any tips?

Meaning when I plug in the monitor using the display port, I get no picture at all. So I have to use a DVI input to see anything.

Did you change the engine on the monitor itself to G-Sync? The monitor defaults out of the box to Classic (which doesn't work over Display Port). Try using the monitor's OSD to change the engine to Gsync. It's almost like the monitor has to reboot itself to change engines.

Just tried this, the monitor rebooted as you said, and then just went black like nothing was plugged in. My display port cable is plugged in, so I don't know why I can't get a picture.
