I just finished putting together my first pc and everything is going good except my computer is not using the graphics card I bought but instead is using the integrated one.
I have a gtx 1060 mini zotac and a i5 6500 my mother board is asus h170 pro
I also cant get the NVIDIA control panel to work says "Im not currently using a display attached to an NVIDIA GPU"

I have the cards drivers installed
I have firestorm and can change the gpu -- the card is installed correctly
I have Ge Force experience installed

This has been a nightmare putting this thing together, any help with this last thing would be very much appreciated.

Solution
Sounds like the monitor is plugged into the motherboard so it's using the igpu. If you want it to use the 1060 it needs to be plugged into the 1060.
