If you installed Windows without Secure Boot enabled, you can't enable it unless you reinstall Windows. It's just how it's designed.

Then let me update that answerSorry for the slight necropost but I'm not sure this is the case. I didn't install with Secure Boot enabled, I merely enabled it about a year later. It worked without any issue.

Needless to say, full backup of anything important. Built in feature or not, this is still Windows. While simple enough, this seems a bit hacky to me.I know this is old but you don't need to reinstall windows just to swap boot method
