Can't enable SLI - GTX 970

I have a Gigabyte G1 970 & an EVGA SC 970. In nvidia control panel sli is disabled. I have enabled 8x/8x mode in bios and I have the bridge connected. I really don't know what to do to get this working, any help is truly appreciated, thanks. This is my computer - http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/list/fCNWHx

I've read that not all models of EVGA GTX 970s can SLI with different makes/models. Some require the exact same EVGA model. You may have one of those.

I looked at that chart that EVGA posted and my card is on the list. So if that's the problem, could something like DifferentSLIAuto fix it?
