So, I have a prebuilt asus pc with SK Hynix memory, when i load into BIOS I do see a xmp window. But when i press it it only shows a disable button. I cannot enable it whatsover. I want to purchase a new kit of memory but i'm not sure if its a motherboard, or a memory issue. If anyone could help me discover if this is a motherboard issue or a memory issue it would be greatly appreciated. Also, it also shows the memory is running at 1600Mhz? I've never seen that with a DDR4 kit View: https://i.imgur.com/iCerWn7.png
. I've also tried chaning the frequency myself. While it does show 3200Mhz in task manager. It still says 1600Mhz in CPU-Z.

You are in EZ mode it looks like. Switch to Advanced mode, then go into the advanced memory configuration settings and enable XMP from there. What is likely happening, although I can't say for certain since you haven't shared the hardware specs with us, and please do that, including the model numbers of CPU, motherboard, memory kit, exact PSU model, graphics card, etc., is that the natively supported speed of your CPU allows that on your platform 3200mhz falls within the JEDEC standard for the default memory speed and XMP isn't required to automatically default to that speed. It will however be using the PREFERRED other settings that are part of the XMP profile such as the manufacturer supplied primary, secondary and tertiary timings, in some cases also voltage, etc.

Also, exactly which DIMM slots is the memory installed in, because that absolutely can make a difference as well.

I've tried looking for the xmp option in advanced mode even before posting but i couldn't find it. It's almost like it doesn't exist. i have an i7 11700KF. All i know about the ram is that it's a SK Hynix kit, there isn't even a sticker or anything on the ram stick which i've taken out to check. The powersupply is a 750w 80 plus gold certified. I couldn't see the manufacturer because the sticker is almost completely coverd by the harddrive bay. I have a RTX 3070 Dual from asus. View: https://i.imgur.com/Ckt8aEX.png
This is all it says on speccy. View: https://i.imgur.com/hpJ5S2v.png
Here's the ram. I thought the RAM was placed in wrong dimms but i don't think so. View: https://i.imgur.com/1u0OCht.png
Here's the exact model of my prebuilt so i guess that could help maybe?

Run this and post a link to the results.

Looks like either ASUS has disabled XMP support in that BIOS, as it's a custom board design specifically for ASUS prebuilt systems, or those SK Hynix modules simply do not have an included XMP profile because I can't find any evidence that they have one.

Regardless, I see no red flags on userbenchmark, not that that means much unless there are major problems evident which there don't appear to be, and it seems to be running at the correct speed anyhow so I would not worry about it further.

Motherboard is G35CG, which is an ASUS "OEM" type board. Those are generally pretty limited BIOS options but since I can SEE the enable XMP button I have to assume that these OEM style SK Hynix memory modules simply don't have an "XMP" profile, just a JEDEC profile that is at 3200mhz and since the CPU supports 3200mhz natively by default, no XMP profile would be needed for them to run at that speed. Which they are.

The ram is already running at XMP speeds, so the Only option would be Disable, after which the ram would run at 2133MHz and the option would change to Enable.

In that bios, 3rd tab is Ai Tweaker. 1st option is Ai Overclock Tuner. 3 choices are Auto, Manual and XMP.

According to my Asus bios.
