Here is my system:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Maximus IX Hero LGA1151
CPU: i7-7700k with CRYORIG H7 cooler
RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2x8GB) DDR4 DRAM 3000MHz C15 Desktop Memory Kit
GPU: XFX r9 290 DD
SSD: WD Blue 3D NAND 1TB PC SSD - SATA III 6 Gb
PSU: Corsair TX850M

Running Windows 10 and have not attempted any overclocking of the CPU or RAM, at least until I can figure out what is causing the system freezes.

I have been suffering complete system freezes with a short audio loop when playing some games. This only occurs when an online game is first setting up or just finishing. None of my temperatures even approach dangerous levels, all drivers are current, there are no critical events in the event viewer.

I have run the intel cpu diagnostic, dxdiag, Heaven benchmark with no issues.

I’ve swapped the RAM slots, bread boarded when first installing everything and gone through just about every other troubleshooting I can think of. I’ve even found a few lists on Tom’s and other places. I cannot figure out these crashes though, I can go a few days without a problem, then get two or three crashes just as a multiplayer game is starting the match. I have only had crashes in Survarium (beta testing, so I know it may have issues) and Dead by Daylight.

I’m looking for anyone that has the same issue or any other ideas. I appreciate anyone that takes a look.

I've already done a ton of stress tests and everything passed with flying colors and no crashes. I suspect it has something to do with initializing or tearing down a network connection. The crashes only occur when I'm either just starting an online match or one has just finished. Everything just freezes with a short sound loop, I have to cold boot to recover. I am truly stumped with this one, and am wondering if it's possibly a faulty CPU.
