Hello , i bought a new graphics card and i have second problem with this card that i cant see where is 1440x900 resolution , i cheked in Nidia conltrole panel in customize settings and when i doo 1440x900 60Hz it looks very bad (it fits to my screen but it looks like you would put glases and you cant see good ) , also if i would do in customize settings 1440x900 rezolution in games there also wont be this rezolution 1440x900 so how can i solve this problem? I tried to instal reinslat drivers many times, i unninstalled all drivers , than i installed the newest , i tried with old drivers , i tried many things , please help me with this thing .

I am using 660gtx Gigabyte Oc , when i replaced my old video card and put new one than my resolution changed .

In maxed it can be 1440x900 Name type of my monitor is Syncmaster 940nw Samsung. And now i can set the resolution just on 1366x768 less rezolution or more 1600x900 but there is no 1440x900.

When i trie do do a different refresh rate than in front off my screen aperas recommended 1440x900 60hz but when i do at 60 refrehs rate than it fits to my screan but looks very bad as if you would look through a glasses .

Hello .i dont understand what do you mean? i tried to customize 1440x900 60hz than it looka bedly it fits to a screen but ass i said it looks very bad the qualitiy looks bad.

You said that you cannot see the resolution from the windows' monitor control panel and you tried to set the resolution/refresh rate from the nvidia control panel, so this might be the problem. Have you try to check the option which allows you to see more "unsupported" resolutions/refresh rates?

edit: Also if this is your monitor syncmaster-940nw, it might need drivers too. (if you haven't install them already.)

Where can i find this option which allows to see more unsuported resolution /refresh rates? yes it is mine monitor i think that the drivers has installed automaticly because off windows 7.

i tried in screen resolution in nvidia control panel(change resolution) and also in customize resolution , and also in advanced settings where you can list all modes . and enywhere there is no 1440x900.

I can't find win7 drivers for your monitor (I can find only for Win 98/ME/2K/XP/X64/Vista). I hope that win7 is installing the proper drivers for this.

You can find this option when you are at your desktop, right click, and then choose monitor resolution. Then choose "advanced settings"---> then the second tab "monitor" and uncheck the hide option.

i looked that my monitor has updated drivers, also i did ass you said it is already uncheked and i cant check ore unchek dont know why.

Hmmm... This is strange. We might be close to the cause of the error. They might be updated but I still suspect the drivers. The problem is that I can't find samsung win7 drivers for this monitor.

Aspect Ratio: Widescreen - 16:10

Native Resolution: 1440 x 900

edit: Try to reinstall GPU and monitor drivers.

Reinstaled GPU and monitor drivers nothing happened ,same thing, is there enywhere where i can choose 16:10 monitor? i know that you can choose in games but when i choose they dont show me 1440x900 resolution.

Well its the same problem. Since windows dont recognise it, neither game settings will. May I ask what's the version of the driver you are using?

I know my problem it is this DVI adapter http://www.kilobaitas.lt/Adapteriai/Kiti/DVI_Adapter,_DVI-I_male_-_HD_D/AD0001/CatalogStoreDetail.aspx?CatID=PL_598&ID=284683 i put my old graphics card and then i got 1440x900 resolution and also i recognized that it shows my syncmaster monitor and in this same graphics card you can put also this dvi adaper and i connected with my monitor and then there was no 1440x900 resoltuion there was just 1600x1200 , 1280x1024 and thats all. So i must to by cable that will connect directly with my monitor to my Graphics card and than will be okey just interesting where will i find such thing or is there a way that his DVI litle cable can be readeble somewehere in settings?

I kinda lost you here 😛. So all you need is a DVI/HDMI to VGA cable, right?
Hmmm I guess you need something like this? PPA Model 7369D 10 ft. DVI to VGA Cable

edit: or this? Link Depot Model DVI-6-VGA 6 ft. DVI To VGA Cable
