First computer build I built a nice entry level gaming pc, I am using a ASUS F1A75-V PRO motherboard. This issue is minor but annoying, I turn on my computer see the ASUS splashscreen appear it flashes off then some text comes up and the last line of text takes about a second to load then loads "cant find a device" disappears ASUS splashscreen then Windows starts up. My question is why and how do I turn this off obviously it is searching for a device that it does not need to? I am assuming this is something in the BIOS.

It probably is looking for your drive and then finds it. If the machine works well and that is it, I bet that is what it is doing. Sometimes my machine goes to the point where it looks like it is about to say missing drive, but then boots up. I am guessing it is the same thing if everything works well.

I guess I found what it was, I saw another sata 3 port offset from the rest. So I chose to route to that one, after rebooting the error message went away. However when I went back into Windows I noticed a device attached apparently this is some kind of "media sata" port because U can eject the HHD I am running Windows off of. I think it is weird that the BIOS would send an error message to me because something is not connected to it considering I do not need to use it right?

Yeh, but if it's working now, I would just keep it how it is.

Why would I want the HDD Windows is running off of to be removable media in Windows that makes no sense.
