Overnight my system crashed and rebooted, apparently triggered by this entry in the Event Viewer:

The device, \Device\Harddisk0\DR0, has a bad block.

I assumed it was referring to my SSD boot drive. But a full S.M.A.R.T. test with the drive’s proprietary software returned no problems. I then looked in Disk Management and saw that Disk 0 is an internal non-boot HD. I ran a check on that disk (using This PC>[drive]>Properties>Tools>check for errors) and it found no errors.
I’m stumped. Windows appears to be contradicting itself. Any ideas?
