Hello Tom's Hardware,
I am new here but I recently did a new install of Windows 11 pro on a fresh 2TB m.2 with a new cpu and motherboard and I wanted to get my files from my old PC to this new one.
The old PC had 2 hard drives on it, I currently have both of them hooked up but when I go to view them in file explorer the old boot drive (now the D drive) shows up empty and I am not sure why (FYI I believe this hard drive is refurbished). The other hard drive, however, seems fine and shows the data I expect see (a handful of games). I did not have either of the drives connected during the windows installation.
I've tried reinstalling windows and using a backup linked to my Microsoft account. I've made hidden files visible in file explorer. I have not written any new files or anything to the drive in fear of overwriting any data on it.
Here is a snip of the drives
Not sure what to do next, any help would be appreciated!
