I have an older Ostrog Enermax computer case with 2 x4 HDD cages, and I don't have the original HDD trays. But the width of the cage is just under 4.5 inches and I can't find any HDD trays that are of that size. Right now I just have 3 2.5" drives screwed into the left side of the cage, it works for right now but I just wanted to have something more stable and better looking. Am I SOL with getting this size tray?

Your photograph was very helpful.

Your case seems to be missing a shelf such as the shelf down below the ruler.

Not really a true "bay" to start with.

Looking the measurements you are trying to cross about a 4 1/2" gap. (Allowing for the cut-out/ridged oval holes on each side.)

You are going to need to use a combination of adapters.

One of those that you bought plus half of a bracket set such as:

https://aaawave.com/istarusa-accessory-rp-4hdd255f-4x2-5inch-hdds-ssds-to-5-25inch-drive-bay-bracket-retail/

Or

http://www.cablesonline.com/3hdmobrfor5b.html

There are some metal brackets to be found where both sides of the square "U" are equal. Approx. 3/4 inch.

Assemble the holder and test fit. Then mount the SDD in the 2.5"...
There are a number of such products.

E.g.:

https://www.amazon.com/Pasow-Holder-Mounting-Bracket-Adapter/dp/B01F31UR7G

Google but include the words "SSD" and "brackets".

I used "SSD drive brackets"

More examples:

And do take a look back through the SSD boxes. Sometimes brackets are or were included but not originally used.

Ask friends and family as well.
