So .. I built a computer. with an SSD and HDD, and SDD works well but I can't not find the HDD in my pc. he is there but if I go look in the BIOS then I find a drive that's only 4.1GB big but it is a 1TB HDD. and when I go to disk management it says that it's not initialized and if I try to initialize it then it says "can not be performed because of an error in an I / O device" what do I do now?

Solution
The Operating system cannot communicate with the hard drive properly. Where BIOS shows only 4.1gb, windows will see what BIOS shows it. So why isn't BIOS showing it the right size? It's a bit of a twister, as it sounds like an old motherboard, that is not capable of reading a hard drive that size. If this is a new board, that can't happen. So..My suggestion, plug the 1tb into another PC, ensure it is usable properly. If not , the hard drive is faulty, RMA it. If the drive works, then regardless of the age of the motherboard, see if you can update it's BIOS. Also, if you are using SATA, try different SATA ports, it 'can' make a difference.
