Hi,
after restoring the default setting for my laptop with Windows XP OS, the Network connections icon with View available wireless connections disappeared.
I tried to restart it from Control Panel>Administrative tools>Services - there it appears as active, but still nothing - only the Local Area Connection icon
Please help!

goto control panel > network connections

right click the wireless connection and select properties
at the bottom of the window is a tick box for displaying the system tray icon, tick it.

it's checked and connected to the router, i can't see the icontray and i can't view the status of my wireless router. what could be the problem
regards
