cant find new hardrive on computer please help

i have recently installed a new caviar blue 320gb hardrive into my pc, i know i have to activate the new hardrive through "Create and format hard disk partitions" but i cant seem to find my hardrive on there and cant activate it. i checked my pc again if some cables were loose or sticking out but thats not the case. i dont know what to do?

Have you checked in Disk Management to see if it's there? If it's visible, the system should give you the option to "initialize" the drive, then format.

with disk management at the very top i see the drive but when i go to the unallocted section to initialize the drive their is no hardrive to be seen

also i went into my bios and it does read that my hardrive is there.....

i may switch the cables that connect from the psu/mobo to my hardrive and see if that works

oh never mind i see the hardrive now, thanks for your help anyway
