I want to completely start new on my PC and want to install a barebones windows 7 home premium that i currently have installed on the laptop. I have the Serial code i just need to download windows 7 home premium 64 bit to this flash drive but dont know where to find the file on my pc.

Do i have to download the windows 7 from my pc? Or is there a website i can go to get a unregistered windows 7 home premium and just use my serial code i already have ?

Is it a laptop? They usually either have a recovery parition or a tool to make a recovery disk/flash drive.

If it's a tower, then you should have gotten a disk.

Sadly, MS used to provide the ISO's for everything but took down the site that used to host them all. Torrent would be the only way, just look for one that says "clean" in the title or something as those are usually just the ISO. you don't want any cracks or hacks, just an ISO.

Plug in your serial code/product key here, and you can download the ISO:

Yes it is a laptop from ASUS i bought it back in 2010. And have no clue where the OS disk is( dont think it even came with one). I was told i can download the orginal blank slate of windows 7 directly from my pc with the program microsoft has on there website(windows 7 usb/dvd download tool) but i cant find the file anywhere not sure what toeven look forwith just the OS.

Any suggestions for a "clean" windows 7 home premium 64 bit download? So i can just put that on my flash drive and use my current serial code

Yeah its saying error when verifying. Not really sure what that means?

Microsoft isn't responsible for supporting OEM pre-installed, pre-activated versions, that's the responsibility of the PC manufacturer.

That's why your OEM Product Key doesn't allow you to download a Windows ISO, and also why the manufacturer provides a recovery partition plus a Windows utility to make a set of recovery discs.

It's not "bare bones" I know, (far from it) but that's all you get without buying a vanilla Windows disc.

Yeah i figured all that out once talking with microsoft/asus customer support.... Was just curious because several people have told me you can copy your OS from your computer and put it onto a cd/flashdrive

usually there is. It's just not a ISO on the HD though, it's usually a tool in the start menu that will create a recovery option for you. Sometimes it's just under the ASUS folder in the start meny or something.
