I have had a corrupted disk, which is now okay according to chkdsk "Windows has scanned the file system and found no problems. No further action is required.".

When trying to empty the recycle bin I get an error: "0x80004005" and the bin is not emptied

Using cmd prompt I have tried to reset the recycle bin with "rd /s /q E:\$Recycle.bin", which returns the error: "E:\$Recycle.bin\S-......-1001\$RFSJGTG\Microsoft.......8bbwe - The system cannot find the path specified."

When I simply try to delete the file with "del E:\$Recycle.bin\S-......-1001\$RFSJGTG\Microsoft.......8bbwe" I get the same error.

Probably the folder has already been deleted, but is still showing. How do I clear this non-existent folder?

The recycle bin is allocated to the c drive "if you set the destination somewhere else i.e set a command to move the location it technically doesn't move just duplicates it to a second drive you may need to use c drive command not e
