Can't find programs

I took my old hard drive which contained my operating system(win 7) and put it in a external drive case as I wanted to use it as a back up drive. I also needed to retrieve some info from a program (H&R Block)that I installed to do my taxes. However when I navigate to the Program files (x86) on the external drive the H&R Block program software(as well as most of the software that I installed over the years)is no longer listed. The only programs now listed in that folder are Microsoft related. Any ideas?

Either you are looking in the wrong drive/directory, or you removed the program.
