Can't fit H80i V2 in CM Elite 110 w Asus VIII Impact

Have read that Corsair H80i V2 is compatible with Cooler Master Elite 110, and also seen pictures of this, but Asus Maximus VIII Impact has the CPU socket almost in the center of the mobo, slightly to the right of the case (when seen from the front), so can't see how one can bend the two thick cables of the H80i in order to attach both the radiator and the pump unit.

If the CPU socket had been to the left of the case, it would be possible to make it fit, as seen here:

If I turn the two thick cables to the opposite side of what's seen in the picture above, the cables will block the GPU. And if the two cables are mounted close to the roof of the case, they seem too long to get attached to the CPU.

I'm using a Corsair SF600 PSU which is small enough to stop exactly where the CPU begins, mounted on the wall, about 6-7 cm above the mobo.

Any ideas how to bend the cables in order to fit the water cooler in this small case with the Impact motherboard?

This is my first build btw, so detailed instructions are appreciated.

Well, you'll know almost instantly if there's nothing applied

It won't do any long-term harm, but it'll shut down on your after a few seconds.

I had an H80i and a Elite 110 at one point - with a full-sized ATX PSU, so it'll definitely fit.

The cabling does flex. What I'd suggest is install the cooler so that the tubes come out of the CPU on the rear side. Slight bend forward and your PSU will slide in. The tubing will then bend around the PSU and towards the radiator installed at the front.

It's difficult to explain, but it'll fit. Once you're working inside the case, it'll become pretty obvious.

Tnx for reply, just managed to make it fit now!

But noticed that the two cables seemed to "unscrew", for lack of better word, just a mm or less at the base where they are attached to the pump unit. Shouldn't the cables be firmly attached to the pump unit and not move at all? Worried that they may leak.

By "unscrew" I don't mean that the cables moved out of the socket in the pump unit, just that they seemed to "revolve around" a mm or less when I held the pump unit in order to bend the cables.

Finally, could not see any sign of pre-installed cooling paste on the pump unit, but it's there, right?

If they moved 1mm or less, I'd still say they are 'firmly attached'.

Remember, an AIO liquid cooler can be dissasembled & drained/refilled - so those can move.

If they unscrewed at all, re-tighten them. 1mm or less shouldn't be any cause for concern, but better safe than sorry - it's still liquid over electronics afterall.

As for the thermal paste, it certainly should be pre-applied - if this cooler is brand new. There's a copper base underneath (a circle or square, I don't remember) and you would/should see a more grey/silver circle (or square) within the copper. If you didn;t (ie it was just a solid copper circle/square) then no, there's no thermal paste applied*.

If you have to take it off to double-check for paste, or tighten the tubes, then you should be replacing the thermal paste anyway. Any time you remove the cooler, it allows air bubbles to get inside - so you should replace.

To be honest, I can't remember exactly how it looked underneath the pump unit, where the copper plate is, but the cooler is new, and it says on the website of Corsair that thermal paste is pre-applied. So no worries I guess :) Thanks again for help!
