Hy,

can someone please help me to rescue my SSD HDD. I can't format drive. I tried a lot off tips and tricks with no positive result...

My SSD is Cruical CT256 mx100,
i have managed to update firmware to MU02, but there is no way to format drive or change partitions.

I tried with IDE and AHCI in bios on three different computers.
I have tried to install Ubuntu on SSD with the same Input/output error.
with Gparted i get some error info (cluster accounting failed extra cluster in bitmap) and then Input/output error during write on /dev/sda
I tried with security_erase but apparently my drive is in frozen state??

i have checked drive with HDD Regenerator with NO bad CRC or any error.

I got zero! response from Cruical on their forum

any idea to help me save 256 ssd ? pleaseeeee

What do you mean there's no way to format or change partitions?

What's on the drive first of all? Is it 100% new, out of the box (excluding the fact you updated the firmware)?

Assuming you've tried disk management, to initialize/format the drive? ....quick format, obviously.

If you're installing Ubuntu, are you presented with the option to format the destination drive when you're selecting where to install?

Hy, first of all thx for reply...
Drive Isn't new, there were win7 on them on one partition.
My mother had problems with booting windows becouse files were somehow corupted...i have saved photos and documents to another laptop. I have tried to check and format ssd on my laptop via USB first, then I have instaled it to laptop as second drive, again no luck..
After that I tried on Two other computers and with all posible variations and connectors.
I suspected that drive was corrupted somehow. At the moment I am using Disk eraser (dd disk) and we shall see....
At the moment 5% ETA 59h :/
