Question Can't format WD Purple 1TB

Bought it yesterday, didn't have a choice, seemed fine for work/gaming through what I've read on the internet right before buying.
Specs if needed: b350, r3 1300x, 750ti, 8gb ram, kingston 128gb SSD, windows 10
Put it in my PC, showed up as RAW and required a format. OK. Quick format through windows, NTFS. 1 hour passes, nothing. After a while gave me a generic error that it failed to format. Tried formatting with EaseUS, same thing. Is it just not compatible with NTFS or is it broken? It's goddamn frustrating because I got a job that needs a lot of space and my SSD is full and I'm broke. I still have the cheque so if I can't fix it I'll try to return it but it's out of the package so I'm probably screwed

I would try and delete all the partitions on it. Then I would make one big partition......and try formatting it again.

Just finished quick diagnostic with WD data lifeguard diagnostics, it passed apparently
also it's now all unallocated and doesn't show up on my pc devices anymore
