[SOLVED] Cant get 144hz on my Acer GN246HL monitor with DVI Dual Link

Hello, i have an Acer GN246HL monitor using it as a 2nd monitor and i have it connected to my graphics card 1070ti and have a displayport to dvi dual link to the monitor but its still stuck on 60hz but in the acer monitor settings it says "1920x1080 H: 132KHz V:120Hz Video Output" and below that "1920x1080 H: 68KHz V: 60Hz DVI Output" would love some help

In windows display under advanced display settings, when you click on display adpter properties for that monitor, what refresh rates does it show?

i restarted my computer & monitor didnt fix it and even made a custom resolution in the nvidia control panel for 144hz but when i turn it on it just says on the screen "Input Not Supported " like scrolling sideways across the screen kinda like the dvd that flys arround the screen
but the refresh rates says 144hz (only because the nvidia control panel custom resolution) 60 hz 59hz 50hz 30hz interlaced 29hz interlaced 25hz interlaced 24hz and 23hz on the dvi input but if i switch to the hdmi just 60hz

also i saw someone talking about how u need to have hdmi and dvi dual link at the same time but for me it just makes it like a 1/2 and 2/2 monitor and doesnt work lol

Which GTX 1070ti? Are you positive your adapter is dual link? Do you have a link for said adapter?

Well the answers are there, so I'm not sure how much more help we can be. The adapter you're using doesn't meet the requirements necessary to get 144 Hz, as explained in the pinned thread.

It's a dvi-d which is dual link and supports 144hz lol
