Can't get 4.5ghz on my 4790k with low volts

To get 4.5ghz I have to put it up to 1.27v, my motherboard is a gigabyte ud3h black edition and my CPU is a 4790k. What settings do I have to put to get it stable at lower volts?

Okay, can't you go any lower than 1.27? I've seen people run 4.5GHz on 1.21V.

You might just have a poor chip. What temps do you get at 1.27V?

It's not called the silicon lottery for nothing. Probably just your CPU isn't a great overclocker.

Max temp 87 on prime95 then it bluescreens anything below 1.27, it's probably just an unlucky chip.

87°C!? Take that voltage down mate, you're way above the recommended limit.

This can be debated, but I wouldn't want to go past 75C for longer term use. For benchmarking though, I'd go higher as it's a short duration vs. real-world usage/temps.
