[SOLVED] cant get 4k resolution at 60hz with hdmi 2.0 , samsung u28e590d monitor

Hi, Im using samsung u28e590d monitor with 4k hdmi cable here:

I was told on the manual i can do 60hz using hdmi 2 port, but i dont see an option in my display to use 4k. The max i see is 1920 x 1080 at 60 hz for hdmi 2 port. I'm also using gtx 1070 which is capable of producing 4k at 60hz. Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

Is the monitor properly enumerated in the NVidia Control Panel ? Is 4K available there ?

Are you able to adjust the resolution to 4K in Advanced Display Settings ?

Did the unit come with a DP/HDMI cable ?

Did you install any software ?

Unfortunately for some odd reason the HDMI 2 port is limited to 1080P. You can only get 4K on the Display port or HDMI 1. You may need to adjust the HDMI 1 port to PC or AV.
