I tried getting an itunes shortcut from the appdata folder, it had a generic icon and not the itunes one. I tried reinstalling it, but no shortcut was created. This is bugging me, can I get help please? Google search seems to show outdated information. I'm on Windows 10.

So the shortcut was created on your desktop and works, but you don't like the picture. I agree, the white box is ugly.

I saved the deviantart picture to my PC then uploaded it to https://icoconvert.com/ where it was converted to an ICO. At the bottom I clicked on "Convert ICO" then "Download your icon(s)". It gave me this link but I'm not sure how long that link will last. Such sites usually delete images (or icons) like this pretty quickly. If the link doesn't work, simply follow what I did and it's pretty easy to figure out.

And here is what it looked like:

Hey, neither of those suggestions worked. There is no iTunes folder in program files anymore, and I don't see a shortcut option when I click an icon on my taskbar either, on any of my programs. So yeah they made this difficult. I tried googling how to change the icon but gave up, don't know how to get the proper "ico" file or whatever.

It's one of those new junky Microsoft Store apps. It installs into hidden system folders.

Try this:
  • Press Win+R to open the Run dialog.
  • Type in shell:AppsFolder and press OK.
  • Right click on it and choose Create Shortcut. You'll get an error and it will ask you if you want to create the shortcut on the desktop. Choose Yes.

You can also just drag and drop from the AppsFolder to the desktop.

Hey, thanks for the help, but the icon I grabbed from that folder had a white square around it instead of blending with my background. No other icon I tried grabbing from there did that though. I think I'm just gonna live with it at this point, unless you guys can help me use this icon here?:

I tried saving it as a ".ico" file but that didn't work.
