Cant get AOC G2460FQ 144hz monitor to work with 144hz

I have had this monitor for some time now, but never got 144hz refresh rate working, windows simply does not show it as option, and shows 60hz as max.

I'm using DVI-D cable and I'm sure the cable is fine and the monitor because it works on a lot older computer I have tested it on, unfortunately I can't give specs to that computer right now since I don't have it here.

I have tried updating drivers and checked the monitor CD, but on the older computer it worked fine without any manual updates/actions.

I have tried googling and searching for solutions but couldn't find any working one, I think it could be my bios, should I try updating my bios?

I also have tried googling if my specs simply don't support 144hz but haven't found anything.
Also, 120hz works at 1024x768

You need a dual link DVI cable plus a GPU that supports Dual link to get 144hz

Yes I have the correct cable as I said on the post that the same cable works on a different computer with 144hz, but I found the problem to indeed be with the gpu, thanks.
