Hey TH community,

I am staying at a friends house in Morocco and am at my witness trying to get this coma device they bought to work (internet phone). I have spent hours with customer service and doing resets to no avail. I finally decided to check the ethernet ports themselves and plugged her mac into the router via the ethernet cord and shut the wifi off. No dice.

I then though wait, what if nothing is wrong with the coma and its all on the routers end. I have tried reseting the router, creating manuel ip addresses to tap into, and factory reseting it all with no avail. The computer just says self assigned ip address under the ethernet settings and that it is unable to connect. Maybe a firewall issue? I really don't know but I am at my wits end like I said.

The router is a simple OvisLink with 4 LAN port (tried them all). It is running through the phone line for connection.

The macbook pro is an early 2011 model and is running yosemite.

I am really hoping this is a simple fix and I have just over looked something silly. Please any help is appreciated.
