Can't get G.Skill memory to run above 3100MHz

Hey guys, dropped a pretty penny on 32GB (2x16) G.Skill 3600MHz memory sticks and can't seem to get them above 3100. They default to 2133 and enabling XMP up to 3600 causes the system to stop booting, which means I gotta reset the CMOS just to get into the BIOS again. Otherwise, the debug LED makes it up to 4C [memory initialization] before shutting back down.

I'm using an EVGA Z270 motherboard (latest BIOS update) with an i7-6700K OC'd to 4.9GHz at 1.4V. The motherboard supports up to 3600 but I can't even get them to run at 3200, with the DIMM voltage set to 1.37. Everything looks like it's compatible on paper, but I've never OC'd with memory before so I figured I'd default to your wisdom.

Thanks in advance for any input!

You sure you have the memory in the correct slots?
What you can try to check if maybe one of the ram modules are defective ( had this happen to me just 1 week ago ) is to just leave 1 module in. Set XMP and boot up 3-4 times. If everything boots normaly and speed is 3600 that module is fine. Now take it out and do the same with the second module.
I had 2x16gb 3200mhz. And with both I maxed out at 2933mhz.
1 did 3200 while the 2nd did only 2233mhz while trying XMP on them seperate.
