Completed a new system with my old 1070 as a placeholder until my 3080 arrives. However, I can’t get a display signal from the 1070 to my monitor. HDMI, DP, no matter, neither gets a signal. Having a similar issue on my friend’s system we were able to remedy this by installing his motherboard drivers through the OS by connecting to the mobo display output. After having done so the ‘microsoft basic display adapter’ became a ‘gtx 1070’ in device manager and was able to function as a display output. In my case, the z490 unify has no display outputs so I’m unable to utilise this method.
So, how exactly can I update my motherboard to recognise my GPU without a display output?
