Can't get HIS 7750 to work with HP 8100 Elite SFF

I had an HP 7900 SFF computer under my TV for playing games on. I had the 7750 installed in it and it was working just fine. I bought my old PC from work to replace it It is an HP 8100 Elite.

Here is the dilemma I am having; the computer has an ATi HD 6350 in it, but when I put the 7750 in, all the PC does is beep at startup and the screen stays blank. The onboard video doesn't display anything at all. I know the 7750 works just fine as I am using the old computer with it hooked up.

I have tried reading online, and all I have found is saying to switch the BIOS to Legacy m/ode, unfortunately the BIOS does not have that option anywhere. Any ideas on how to fix this

If it is a newer Windows 8 system, you have to disable secure boot to enable legacy support.

Without legacy support you need to have the video card flashed to work with UEFI bios systems. Some times this allows it to still work with old bios based systems other times it will not.

Legacy mode if you can get to it with secure boot off is the best compromise.

EDIT
A quick look on Google shows that to be an older NON uEFI board(and first generation i3/i5/i7's did not all have onboard video so depending on the cpu(i5 650 does while the 750 does not for example), onboard may not be an option.), so legacy mode may not even be an issue for you.

It is Windows 7, i7, it does have the onboard, but didn't seem to be working anymore. I can't find any place in the bios to turn off secure boot.

It is weird that the card works with an older quad core, but with the i7. I will try to see if i can update the card firmware

Can you please list the model of i7(I did not think any first generation i7's have onboard video to be honest even the "higher end" i5's lacked it even with the board having the plugs for it) it is.

It seems many systems had been sold under that name and from what I see they all had been Intel LGA 1156 models(If so, I would guess you are looking at a compatibility issue). These would most likely not have secure boot(not an option for Windows 7, so even if you had it, it would be off) or a need for legacy(chances are it is a legacy bios system).

Just to confirm your video card does not need external power or if it does, it is connected?

i7 87, it looks like it is an 1156. I am confused why there would be a compatibility issue between the card and this CU and not with the Core 2 quad. I guess I will see if I can fix the compatibility issue, and if not then I guess I will look at a R7 250.

There is no power connector for the card. I am still confused about why the onboard stopped working. I guess tomorrow will be full of fiddling with settings
