cant get into bios

i have a toshiba satellite laptop. System bios will not load. Ive tried updating from the toshiba downloads but it says my bios is already updated. Also when i restart my laptop i have to remove the battery and reinstall it. Not sure if these problems are connected.

Are you hitting a key to get into the BIOS and it just won't go into it and loads Windows as it normally does?

Try all of the possible keys to open it The most common bios keys that i have seen in my repair experience are; F12, esc, F11, F10, F9, F8, and F4.

i"ve tried all the usual keys and they don't work.

Some laptops have a button to get into the BIOS. What is your exact model satellite? Should be on the bottom somewhere or possibly under the battery.

it just started doing this after i deleted a linux partition.

Try this:

To access the BIOS or Boot Order screens on your new Windows 8 machine, Shutdown while pressing the Shift key. Hold down the F2 key (BIOS) or the F12 key (Boot Order) while pressing the Power key.

Shouldn't matter if you have Windows 8 or 10, same process.
