cant get maximus X into case. urgent!

Hey, I got my case lying down a thermaltake view 71. I've literally got my motherboard the asus maximus X with the cpu installed, ram installed and a R1 universal cpu fan installed. I've spent 15 minutes trying to get it into my case. The mobo has a pre installed IO shield. Does this IO shield still have to click in place like stand alone ones? I just can't get it in. Please help!

I've got it in. Just started screwing it in and had to just push the motherboard in a bit whilst getting the screws in but was fine after that.
