Can't get Maxtor 3200 USB drive to be recognized

After using on and off for a few years without any issues, I attached my drive and it doesn't show up in My Computer. Strangely, it does show up in control panel\hardware and sound\devices and printers under Unspecified. It seems as if the drive is connecting and disconnecting as the speaker makes the same sound when you connect or disconnect any USB connections. I have tried multiple USB cables and gotten the same response. I am using Windows 7.

You've probably got more USB devices pulling power than what you used to have, and there's a limit to how much juice the USB ports can supply in total.
