Hey guys, so I have had this monitor for about a year now and I'm sick and tired of my friends playing video games like Counter Strike Global Offensive in 144hz and I cant. I got this monitor model known as BENQXL2430T, and I use my Nvidia control panel to change the resolution but its maximum setting of hertz is 120hz and when I do that it goes blurry with a message, saying incorrect cable, please use the cable that came with your monitor, which I cannot use because I bought this monitor only itself so I bought a DVI-Dual Link cable online which seems it has all port holes working. I'm not sure if I am suppose to use the EXACT SPECIFIC DVI-D cable it came with but if you guys know anything, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE with all your information please tell me what to do!
INFORMATION ABOUT MY COMPUTER: My computer model is an Alienware Aurora R3 with its BIOS up to date. Graphics Card: GTX 1050 Ti Monitor: BENQXL2430T with the current resolution being 1920x1080@60 and the optimum resolution being 1920x1080@120 for odd reason and I said whenever I choose the 120hz option my screen gets blurry and gives me a message that I have the incorrect cable telling me to use the cable the monitor came with.
