Have you tried a different cable? Does it work with DVI?

yesit does work with dvi

evert time i try the hdmi it comes up with (power saving mode) an no picture

It could be a faulty HDMI cable. Try to borrow one from a friend or if you already have one connected to your HDTV and cable/satellite box, then try that.
