Can't get my Ram to run at advertised speed of 3200mhz, benchmark underperforming at 2133 mhz

Notice how it recommends to enable the xmp profile in the bios, however I have checked and it is enabled. It also shows in the bios the target speed is indeed 3200mhz. My motherboard also supports up to 3200mhz. The ram wasn't cheap, so I'd like to get my money's worth. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

No it doesn't. :??: DDR = Double Data Rate. RAM is sold marketed at the effective speed. Since it's DDR it sends information on both the rising and falling edges of the clock cycle. CPU-Z reads the actual speed but since it moves 2 pieces of information per clock cycle you double the actual speed to get the effective speed.

DDR3 1600 reads as 800Mhz in CPU-Z
DDR4 3200 reads as 1600Mhz in CPU-Z
Etc.

COLGeek is correct...

yeah, the DD in DDR stands for Double Density. So when you get a speed reading on any kind of memory from a program like that or from something like MSI Afterburner for you GPU it's reading only one density level of the RAM so you have to double that and you'll get the speed that it's running at complete.

CPU-Z shows DDR4 3200 cas 16 running in dual channel mode which means 2 sticks ( 2 x 8GB ). I'd believe CPU-Z over Userbenchmark. You can confirm in BIOS that XMP is enabled.

Then maybe you should care enough not to post misinformation? If you don't know you shouldn't post. Making things up out of thin air helps no one.
