Question Cant get new graphics card to work

Recently my old GPU (GTX 780ti) has been all buggy with green lines and detects my moniter as being 1Hz. I figured it was done for so I decided to buy a new one (Radeon rx580) but nothing works.

so far ive tried plugging in the new card but i get no signal. I have put the old one in and tried to install the AMD drivers but it wont install anything cause it doesnt detect AMD hardware. Motherboard doesnt output anything either. im fresh out of ideas and need help

Intel motherboard DH61CR
Corsair CX750 PSU

That motherboard is rather dated. It looks like it may use a standard BIOS (not UEFI), can you confirm this?

Some RX 580 GPUs require a UEFI based system. What specific make/model is your RX 580?

yes its running BIOS not UEFI. the RX 580 is an MSI armor 8gb
