So i'm from Belgium and have this ISP called Telenet. I have a subscription which includes internet and some other things. They promised me 200 Mb/s download and 12 Mb/s upload speed. And the problem is i can't seem to get over 95Mb/s download speed. I know i will never get the 200 Mbps because those are just theoretical speeds but i expected at least +150Mb/s download speed, the upload speed is fine.

This is on my computer with a 'MSI B150M Mortar' motherboard. The computer is connected directly with my gigabit router that i got from my provider. It is connected with a Cat6 ethernet cable which is about 15 meters long.

Solution
so do a swappy swap, take the machine tht isnt hitting good speeds and put in the spot of the machine that is, and so the same with the machine that is hitting good speeds, put it in the spot that isnt getting good speeds
Assuming you have a gigabit adapter on your PC, wired directly to the router, it should work.

I'd contact the ISP and have them send a tech out, just to verify it actually works at the promised speed at your house. Not what they monitor from their end, but at your house.

Have him show you on his equipment, and then again on your equipment.

Unfortunately its the same pretty much where ever you go, I am supposed to get 100mbs download speed with virgin in the UK but most of the time it is more like 40-45. I understand you aren't getting what you pay for but 95mbs is a really good download speed.

Your best bet is to ring your ISP and ask them why your download speed is so far off your estimate.

40-45 on an advertised 100 line is pretty bad.
I have 50/50 fiber connection (Verizon FiOS), and see a steady 53/62.
If I was only seeing 20-25 on that, and paying for twice that, me and Verizon would be having words.

Control panel> Networking and sharing Center> Change adapter settings> [double click]*the connection you want to use*>Properties> configure> Link speed> *in the scroll menu choose "speed and duplex" > change the value to 1Gbp/s full duplex

Which one do i need to choose?
