Cant get sd card onto dvd

I have an 8gb SD card with my vids on. i can download onto laptop then burn to DVD but I cannot play on my DVD. If i put the Sd card in my DVD or my in my TV it will play the files. The SD card is in a Samsung Cam corder

Well, what kind of files is the video? You'll need codecs to play certain video files. You can try VLC media player.
