cant get sound to work on my pc (maximus formula mobo)

ok my maximus formula mobo came with a sound card but i cant get the bloody thing to work.. no matter what i do i cant get sound. For some reason the 'soundmax adi audio driver' wont install saying some other driver is not on my pc.. o god this is confusing

any help would be much appreciated

i also have a maximus mobo
unfortunately i had the same problem
after some searching, i removed the plate of the card and saw that the biggest chip on the card was burned heavily...
so i bought a Xfi extreme gamer 😀
i would have returned it for warranty, but then i had to send the whole mobo with it!

I'm hoping you have another problem, but it wouldn't be bad to check it out
