Hi I have just recently gotten a new motherboard and I moved everything from my full case to my mid case. Everything before this has worked fine. After installing everthing I boot it up. It goes through to the BIOs just fine, but when trying to start up I get an error message saying.

"A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer. If this is the first time you've seen this stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

Technical information:
*** STOP: 0x0000007b (0xFFFFF880009A97eb, 0xFFFFFFFFC0000034, 0x000000000000000, 0x0000000000000000) "

I think that I may have installed my hard drive incorrectly because I have never installed a hard drive before.

Thanks for any help

Usually when you change motherboards, you will have to reinstall windows.
The new motherboard will have different components, and windows tries to load the drivers for the old components.

Some times if the motherboards are not much different you can boot from your OS cd/dvd and do a repair install. But most times a full reinstall is necessary.
