Cant Go Above 60htz

Hi i recently upgraded from a 660ti to a 980ti and for some reason cannot get the resolution to go above 1920x1080 60htz when i do the monitor goes fuzzy as says it needs a dual dvi cable (which it has). its a Asus VG278HE. i am in need of help

make sure the cable you are using is a dual link dvi cable, not a regular dvi cable.

It is Its the one from the box i got 120htz with the 660ti but cant with the 980ti

Do you have more than one DVI port on the 980 ti? sometimes only one is dual link.

its only got one dvi output its the msi 980ti

I would suggest using DisplayPort instead.
