Upgraded 12600kf to 5700x3d, the current mobo is gigabyte b550m k

Before i turned off the pc with the old cpu last time there was a windows update but i ignored it and just clicked shut down, now i got that cpu and as usual when you boot for the first time it reaches bios screen then restarts a few times, then it stopped, it switched resolution to windows one and it said updating, then a black screen and then it said something about how sign in sequence couldnt be initialized (on windows) and after that it gets in bios but when its supposed to load windows my monitor turns off (no signal) and fans ramp up to 100%

Has anyone had any experience with this? Im just praying that the windows corrupted and its not hardwares fault... And i do not have a windows usb on me right now but ill get it tomorrow...

You've gone from an Intel board/CPU (12600KF) to an AMD board/CPU (5700X3D) and not reinstalled Windows? How did you activate it after a mobo/CPU change? Is it activated at all?

In any case, when Windows installs it configures itself for the hardware it's going on (which will have been Intel). Now you expect that Intel configured Windows system to boot normally an a totally different (AMD) hardware platform. Not only that, but all the chipset drivers in Windows will be for an Intel board, not your new AMD board, not to mention the drivers for all the on-board device (audio, LAN etc.).

If I'd made such a major change I would have clean installed Windows. I suggest you do the same.
